场航空 has been part of this heritage for more than 20 years and plans on supporting the aircraft for another 30 years.  One of the most recent projects 场航空 completed was the installation of the Rockwell Collins Block 45 upgrade on the first two 工程, 制造 & Development (EMD) phase kits as well as 15 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) kits.  The Block 45 upgrade incorporates a new autopilot, 飞行指挥, 雷达高度计, and electronic engine instrument display, addressing obsolescence issues while providing enhanced navigational capabilities, improving overall safety and situational awareness to the C/KC-135 fleet. Along with ground and flight testing, 场航空 provided Technical Order (TO) and data updates, eventually paving the way for Tinker Air Force base to take over the installation process for the remainder of the fleet. 

场航空 performed the KC-135 Large Aircraft Inferred Counter Measures (LAIRCM) on KC-135R and KC-135T aircraft as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin and Northrup Grumman. Field developed a precision LASER alignment procedure for the installation of the structural support for the Lockheed designed Adapter Plate. Northrup Grumman LAIRCM Generation 3 Pod. The modification required the temporary removal of the Aft Body tank fuel cells to install the modification support structure and associated wiring conduits and wiring harness. The modification also required the installation of the Field designed UHF SATCOM/GPS antenna installation kit.
